Our Work

Texas State Correctional Facility

Project Scope

Construction of a 660-cell, 145,000 SF high-security prototype facility at the existing Gib Lewis Unit. The scope of work included civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security electronics, commissioning, food service, structural concrete and steel, and installation of pre-engineered metal buildings. Site work was extensive, involving the development of temporary roads to gain access to the work area and the construction of permanent roads to enter the completed facility and connect it with the nearby firing range. The complex itself consisted of an administration building and the cellblock area connected by sally port access.
