Project Scope

Caddell was responsible for the design and construction of a new, 533,000 SF, 21 building, campus setting, FCI and Prison Camp for 1,200 inmates. Project scope included: six two-story housing units, two-story segregated housing unit, administration building, dining facility, separate 32,392 SF Federal Prison Camp, educational building, recreation building, federal prison industries (UNICOR) factory, firing range and central shared facility comprised of general and UNICOR warehouses, vehicle maintenance garage (three-bays), remote utilities building, fueling station, radio tower, and hazardous materials building. The project featured state-of-the-art security systems and communications technology.

The original contract scope was completed 7 months early, under budget, with ZERO claims, ZERO quality deficiencies and omissions, and with a superior safety record. The project won 4 national awards for design, construction, and partnering.
