Project Scope

Construction of a 245,000-SF/ 9-story courthouse facility that encompasses 11 courtrooms, the U.S. Marshal Service, and various GSA offices. The project scope also included a smaller office annex. Caddell performed extensive value engineering for the GSA to assist in finalizing design. Particularly challenging aspects of this project include complex structural steel that support floors extending to 22-ft in height (the 9-level main structure is as tall as a typical 16-story building); battered and skewed walls; special trend-stone masonry; and extensive exterior copper sheathing.
