U.S. COURTHOUSEEl Paco, TX

Project Scope

The 245,000 SF / nine-story courthouse was designed by celebrated architect Antoine Predock.  The unique exterior features extensive copper cladding and the interior finishes are a range of metal, wood, glass, and stone reflecting a Southwestern aesthetic. Courtrooms and millwork details are fashioned from White Oak; floors are terrazzo, polished concrete, and tile; the grand stairway combines stone with precast concrete, glass, and stainless steel; and copper plates aged to a specific patina adorn courtrooms and public spaces.  Complicating construction were numerous walls and ceilings skewed to irregular angles and unusual window sizes.
