Project Scope
The challenge at the Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) Commissary was to perform a total architectural and refrigeration upgrade at an existing operating facility to be completed in just 382 days while customers continued to shop, uninterrupted and unimpeded, seven days per week. Caddell succeeded. In fact, the store reported more sales during construction than at any other period in its operation. Close coordination with the store management was combined with a detailed phasing plan. This plan successfully protected and isolated shoppers from the work, including constant reconfiguration of temporary barriers and meticulous noise and dust control. The project was completed on the originally scheduled completion date with a perfect safety record and to an outstanding level of quality.
