COMMUNITY SERVICE

Giving back to the local community, both at home office and at our job sites, has always been a strong Caddell commitment. Caddell employees are urged to participate in and support a wide range of community charity initiatives and organizations each year⎯and they do. This includes financial donations as well as time and labor for special community projects such as rebuilding homes, helping storm victims with emergency aid, manning soup kitchens, and delivering meals to the elderly. At the beginning of each year, Caddell carefully chooses the organizations it will support and works out an annual community service calendar so that Caddell employees can plan to participate in as many projects as possible.

A United Way “Pacesetter” Company
Caddell has been one of the Montgomery area’s largest and most active participant firms for more than 30 years. Designated as a “Pacesetter” company, Caddell is a community leader in the total dollars donated, percentage of employee participation, and general level of support provided to United Way programs throughout the year.
Caddell Construction and Rebuilding Together
Rebuilding Together
For more than twenty years, Caddell has provided financing and two days of employee time for home repair and reconstruction teams to renovate houses for under-privileged families. Everyone from the Caddell President & CEO to men and women in the field participate and there is never a lack of Caddell volunteers.
The Masters Community Garden
Caddell employees volunteer for a 4-hour shift over a two-day period to assist in planting vegetables (seeds and seedlings) and doing other garden maintenance/cultivation for a highly successful program in a depressed neighborhood offering families free garden plots. The massive annual harvest goes to neighborhood participants, Friendship Mission, and the Montgomery Area Food Bank.
Montgomery Area Council on Aging (MACOA) / Meals On Wheels
Caddell Construction is the first corporate sponsor for one of Montgomery’s key organizations supporting the elderly. In addition to a generous annual contribution, Caddell supports employees who participate in the Meals-On-Wheels program distributing meals and newspapers to selected shut-in and incapacitated elderly citizens.
Disaster Relief
Caddell is always on the job when disasters hit the River Region and beyond. Caddell has quickly organized teams to travel to storm-devastated locations to help sort and take away debris, cut down fallen trees and limbs, and do whatever might be required to help disaster victims.
Caddell Community Involvement in Worldwide Project Locations
Wherever Caddell is building projects, the Caddell project team is making a difference in that local community. Community outreach and support is an integral part of Caddell’s services. We are building new homes, renovating/expanding children’s homes, donating soldier memorials, providing free textbooks to needy students, and a wide range of other community support activities.
