Representatives from the Caddell project team joined U.S. Ambassador to Kenya, Robert F. Godec, and VIPs from the State Department and the Kenyan government to officially break ground for construction of the new $153M U.S. Embassy. The new facility will include a new office annex, a support annex, Marine Guard quarters, service compound access control, a utility building, a parking structure, and a perimeter wall. Caddell will also perform renovations to the existing Chancery and USAID buildings. Caddell will build the new facilities while the embassy continues full operations. Caddell’s design partner is Integrus Architecture with headquarters in Spokane, Washington. Project completion is scheduled for September of 2021.
