Upgrades & Improvements at George Bush
Intercontinental Airport
Houston, Texas

The $125 million of new
construction and renovation at Houston’s airport has included
more than 500,000 SF in new
terminal and concourse facilities; removal/replacement of a million
square feet of concrete paving;
new baggage handling, jet
re-fueling, security,
communication, and check-in
systems; and extensive
exterior/interior finishes. Caddell
has worked closely with airport personnel to minimize project impact
on the 35 million passengers
that pass through this busy airport
each year.

Bulk Fuel Storage Facility at
Raleigh/Durham Airport
Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina

Caddell constructed a new fuel
hydrant pumping complex which included eight 1000-GPM pumps,
eight filter/separators, and piping
and accessories for connection
to three 51,000-BBL storage tanks
with a terminal apron hydrant
fueling system. All work was
performed during regular
ongoing airport operations and completed on-time and on-budget despite significant logistical
challenges.

Renovations to McKinley Climatic
Test Chamber
Eglin AFB, Florida

Caddell was selected to perform
two separate renovation /enhancement
projects for this one-of-a-kind
laboratory and test chamber
featuring a hangar large enough to accommodate a C5-A transport
aircraft with engines at full throttle
while varying the temperature inside
from between 165°F+ to less than
75°F below zero. These highly
complex projects encompassed
a wide range of sophisticated
mechanical, electrical,
instrumentation, and structural upgrades.

Caddell’s performance earned the
First Place National Award in the
Excellence in Construction competition
sponsored by the Associated Builders
and Contractors.
